Comparing Your Out-Of-Pocket Medical Expenses With And Without The Patented Program

Let’s analyze all of the additional, out-of-pocket costs (not including premiums) associated with a sample, high deductible health plan and the potential savings that putting a plan in place can provide. After the deductible is reached, the insured is still on the hook for paying 40% of all medical expenses up to the out-of-pocket maximum ($6,500 for individuals).

The chart below demonstrates how much potential savings can be secured for an individual opting for the 7500 plan by taking advantage of the unparalleled account crediting. For monthly contributions of $113.50 the 7500 account balance will grow to $7,500 over 35 months and only cost $3,972.

Achieve Maximum Performance in 35 Months
MBSA HMA Account Growth
After 1 Year The Medical Benefit Savings Account
Is Greater Than Participant Contribution

The plan is a voluntary, medical savings account owned by the participating employee or family. The plan is a non-qualified account funded by the participant with post-tax dollars. The plan pre-funds an individual’s (or family’s) out-of-pocket, medical costs into a health matching account that is awarded a monthly, medical benefit crediting on their contribution, which grows each month.

The benefits that build in each medical savings balance are designed to pay for an individual or family out-of-pocket medical costs including co-pays and deductibles in order for participants to save money and complement high deductible, major-medical plans, or catastrophic medical sharing plans. The participant’s medical spending balance increases each and every month as the account crediting continues to build.

This sample illustration demonstrates how an individual or family’s medical savings balance would grow over a three-year period. The rapid growth of the medical benefit savings account balance easily exceeds that of an HSA (Health Savings Account) or any other medical savings account. Over this three-year horizon, the crediting awarded to the participant’s monthly contribution is so strong that $4,900 of contribution can create a $10,000 balance in this example the person or family to use for their medical costs (assuming no prior medical claims). Once participants reach their target, account balance caps, which in this case is $10,000, they are no longer responsible for making a full, monthly account balance contribution (only maintenance fees are required) until they choose to use their medical benefits savings account once again to pay for a medical expense.

By choosing this patented medical savings plan, individuals and families now have the opportunity to fund a superior medical savings account that will permit them to increase their health insurance deductibles and lower their out-of-pocket premiums and medical expenses. In addition, these patented accounts can be used to pay for dental and eye exams as well as elective procedures such as plastic surgery, lasik and fertility that are not traditionally covered by health insurance as well as long-term care and home health expenses. This health matching account creates additional health care savings for individuals and families by covering a larger portion of their out-of-pocket, medical expenses by more than any other medical savings account available.

The HMA Medical Benefits Visa® Prepaid Card is issued by The Bancorp Bank pursuant to a license from the Visa® U.S.A Inc. The Bancorp Bank; Member FDIC. Card may not be used everywhere Visa® debit cards are accepted. See Cardholder Agreement for list of eligible goods, services and merchants.

*BONUS* Telemedicine Options
The benefits that accompany your patented account do not end with what you receive in the medical savings account crediting each month. You also receive unlimited telemedicine access with your account plan.  The plan contains no extra, hidden fees like co-pays or deductibles that most telemedicine programs would require their customers to pay.

The telemedicine industry is rapidly growing because it is a safe and efficient way for patients to forgo both lengthy wait times and expensive office visits. It addresses the vast majority of medical conditions at any time of day and even during the middle of the night. Telemedicine works extremely well for conditions that are non-life threatening and can be easily treated by a doctor.

By owning your own patented plan, you will have nearly instant access to doctors, who will be able to prescribe treatment and medication for you at your local pharmacy.  Connect with a doctor either over the phone or face-to-face over the internet within 30 minutes of your request.  Telemedicine will do wonders to increase the convenience of your medical care and is another valuable tool and benefit that comes included with your plan.

Where's the Growth with the HSA?
Tax Deductions Only Go So Far!
The HSA Annual Interest Crediting Is Inferior To The Growth On The Patented Program Contributions
  • The average HSA balance is approximately $1,800
  • For HSA owners over age 55, the average, annual, HSA distribution for those owners who use it to pay for medical claims is approximately $2,300
  • If the average HSA balance is $1,800 yet the average distribution is $2,300, how is the HSA providing sufficient enough growth to help owners to reduce their out-of-pocket, medical expenses?
  • Tax Deductions Only Go So Far: When the primary objective to build an HSA is to pay for medical expenses, maintenance fees can significantly eat into or eliminate any annual interest earned with an HSA. While the This patented plan provides an average of $2 in medical benefits for every $1 contributed. Making it far superior to the health savings account for medical expenses.
